Comic Creator Planner: Pre-Production

A simple and easy to use planner for comic writers and creators, covering the pre-production of your comic i.e. the most important part. Comics are a big task and the writer is often also the creative director. Having a plan(ner) in place can help avoid unexpected costs and stresses and having a pre-production plan in place can make the comic much less hassle to make.

The planner covers:

📄 The Outline
When someone asks you what your comic is about, you reply with the outline.

🦸 Character Profiles
Laid out as "Heroes" and "Villains", but you can change this to whatever you want. Write about your character's personality, gender, age etc here.

📜 Script
A page for your script, your plot and your lore.

🖼️ Concept Drawings
An area to store your concept drawings or reference imagery for what you want your characters, environment to look like.

💸 Budget
Plan out your budget carefully with the art budget planner.

📖 Comic Format
Knowing how big your comic pages are going to be is relevant whether you're printing or digital only. Comes with standard measurements filled in (but do additional research!)

📆 Schedular
To keep you and any team members you may have on track and on time, the calendar is very useful!

📃 To-do list
Easily track your tasks by attributing statuses to them, such as "Not started", "In progress" and "Done" as well as a due date.

✅ Recommended Tasks
For those very new to the process, I have included recommended tasks that are optional.

There are tooltips throughout the planner, explaining the intended use for each section.

The entire idea behind this planner is to keep it as simple as possible. Everything is accessible from one page so you shouldn't find this overwhelming or confusing.
